Boardgame news

Our boardgame is coming along quite nicely, we're very close to a finished product and I have to say the game is soooo much fun! Here's a new colored version of the board I just finished painting.. it is not completely done, and will probably be revised for the final product but this is what we got for now! Enjoy!

More Quickies

Illustration

There is a contest back home in Iceland for the cover of the phonebook, with a quite a bit of a cash prize, so I gave it a shot. The theme we had to work from was "Iceland in a positive light" So I did this sort of playful, animation-style illustration with a hint of adventure.

My demo

So my friend Gerald, the president for the Concept Design Club here at the Academy, and I thought it would be fun if I did a digital painting demo showing how I paint in photoshop. It was a great success actually, around 50 people showed up :)

I started with this sketch

After 2 1/2 hours, not completely done, but ran out of time so I rushed a few things. If I had a few more hours I would finish the background and refine the sloppy stuff, etc.

I thought I'd throw in this version, before texture and color adjustments..
